All Charity and Invitational Rides and Events are the sole responsibility of the hosting organization or individual. The GSW has no responsibility and provides no insurance coverage including club and personal liabilities, property damage, or participant accident claims.

Mileage is available on the below listed Invitational rides. If the ride is not listed here, no mileage credit can be given. If you'd like to see a ride listed here, just send ride details to Laurie Daley at gswpedaltalk@yahoo.com To receive Club mileage for any of these rides, all ride sign-up sheets for GSW road and off-road rides are to be completed by the ride leader and sent to the Club Mileage Coordinator, Hetty Andrews, HettyAndrews44@comcast.net within a week of the ride. For rides allowing GSW mileage credit but without a ride leader or ride sign-up sheet being available, the GSW member desiring mileage credit must notify the Club Mileage Coordinator within a week of the ride. Reference should be made to the particular Pedal Talk issue and page on which the ride is listed.

JULY:

1 - 4, Friday—Monday, July 4th in The Kingdom , This weekend in the Northeast Kingdom (AKA NEK) is based at the Newport City Inn, with easy access from I-93 + I-91. For those with passports, Sunday's featured ride is a 75-mile circumnavigation of Lake Memphremagog, with a suggested lunch stop in the resort-beach town of Magog. Optional MTB-ing at the well-known Kingdom Trails in East Burke, or mixed-surface scenic rail trails from Newport to Ayers Cliff, Quebec. The $255 trip fee includes three nights lodging (double occupancy), 3 continental breakfasts, one or two happy hours (TBD), quality maps and cue sheets (digital copies, including RWGPS links).  Minimum of 13 - maximum of 19 riders. August:

5 - 11, Saturday - Friday, Cycle Massachusetts . It’s the Friendliest Ride in the East! (2, 4, 5, and 7 day options available) and all proceeds support the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition. Sign up today: The registration deadline is July 15th, and Cycle Massachusetts is limited to 150 riders! 17-20, Thursday - Sunday, The Vermont Challenge , benefits the Stratton Foundation supporting Vermont communities. Grand Tour, Weekend Tour and One-Day Century options. Multiple starting locations and multiple package offerings. Donating and fundraising opportunities available and encouraged.

20, Sunday, The Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic, (formerly Covered Bridge Metric Century) will be held August 20, 2017 in Lancaster, PA. It offers beautiful routes of 100 miles, 62 miles, 31 miles, and 15 miles, covering some of the most scenic cycling terrain anywhere. October:

1, Sunday, Perennial Walk or Ride   3rd Annual Metric Century/Half Metric Century. Benefits cancer support at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden, Harvard, MA, in beautiful Nashoba Valley.  All proceeds will provide evidence-based integrative cancer support for anyone affected by cancer, regardless of gender, diagnosis, or financial limitations.  Registration fee and minimum fundraising requested.  FMI: Pam Turci (978.339.3328).
