2008 GSW General Meeting Information & Schedule

For 2008 we have decided to repeat last year's concept of holding our monthly meetings at our sponsoring bike shops. The idea was well received last year, although attendance was not as great as we would have hoped. Those who traveled to their local and not so local shops had a wonderful opportunity to meet new bicyclists, get acquainted with a new bike shop, and perhaps even better, lust over the latest bicycles and accessories. By having the meetings in various towns, we hope to attract more members, guests, and potential members while introducing more people to our sponsors. Short programs will be offered by the sponsors, but not a "sales pitch." On the other hand, if money is burning a hole in your pocket, they'll be more than happy to solve that problem! Enjoyable and informative evenings are planned in a low-key bicycling environment. Since most bike shops don't have large auditoriums, you might want to bring a folding chair if you have trouble standing. Most importantly, come and bring a friend to introduce to our wonderful world of bicycling.

All 2008 meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of the month, March through October, from 7 - 9 p.m. The agenda is flexible but is to follow some basic guide lines:

-- Introduction of all attendees
-- Brief review of recent and upcoming GSW events
-- Update on BWA-NH bicycling advocacy and education efforts
-- Short program by the host shop that is somehow related to bicycling!
(It could be riding tips, maintenance tips, Information on new products. Come and be surprised!)
-- Question and answer period
-- Social time to "mix and mingle"
-- Free snack items will be provided by the GSW

Mark your calendars and join us for a full season of interesting meetings in different places. Please see our listing of GSW Sponsors for exact locations and phone numbers.
