GSW International Century
In review: International Century Weekend, July 18-20, 2008
Our 28 th annual International Century Weekend as headquartered at the Lancaster Motor Inn located in downtown Lancaster, NH was considered a success in spite of rain on all three days. Some 52 riders might have avoided the showers while others were very wet! Saturday morning and early afternoon turned out to be the best time to ride without encountering any rain.
Everyone seemed to like the new starting location as many services and shops were all within walking distance, plus the dining room within the Lancaster Motor Inn was highly appreciated. Many attendees gathered to socialize outside their motel rooms. On Saturday afternoon, coordinators Dave Topham and Judi Hull offered a wine and cheese party which helped more people to chat and mingle. By noon on Sunday the steady rain put the brakes on even the most enthusiastic century riders so everyone left for home – and to dry out after a pretty wet weekend. However, we will try again next year, same place, on July 17-19, 2009. Mark your calendar now for the 29th annual GSW International Century Weekend.
